Some pages on this site recommend services you might use in Bali — an eSIM, a transfer, a tour. When you buy through one of our links, the company may pay us a commission. You pay the same either way.

Where these links are

On guide and review pages, on some place write-ups, and in some pins of the Bali map. Each one goes through a wewentfirst.com/go/ address, and every page that has one says so near the top.

What a commission does not change

The order of the picks in a guide, and the rating in a review, are ours. A partner cannot pay for a place, a better position or a better score, and we recommend things that pay us nothing when they are the better choice.

How we rate

A rating is our judgement out of 5, from using the service ourselves or checking it against the others in the same guide. It is not an average of anyone else’s reviews.

What "last checked" means

The date we last confirmed the details on a review page were still true. Prices and plans change; check the partner’s own page before you pay.

What we record

A /go/ link counts that it was followed, and nothing about who followed it. Once you arrive on a partner’s site, its own privacy policy and cookies apply.
