Short version: we set one cookie of our own, and only after you sign in. One partner tag from GetYourGuide loads on every page, so they can credit us when you book a tour you found here. We run no analytics and no advertising, and nothing else on this site tracks you.

The one cookie we set

After you open your access link (the "magic link" we email you), we set a single session cookie that keeps you signed in to your library. It is strictly necessary — without it you would have to click a new access link every visit — carries no advertising or tracking information, and is never set before you have clicked that link.

What it does: keeps you signed in. Lifetime: 1 year, or until you sign out. Set by: wewentfirst.com only, never a third party.

The one partner tag we load

The GetYourGuide partner tag loads on every page of this site, from widget.getyourguide.com. It is how GetYourGuide knows a booking came from us when you follow one of our links to a tour or activity, and their programme requires it site-wide rather than only on the pages that link to them. It may store an identifier in your browser so a booking you make later is still credited to us.

What it does: credits us for bookings you make after following our links. Loaded from: getyourguide.com. What we receive from it: whether a booking came from this site, and nothing about you personally. A commission never decides what we recommend — see our affiliate disclosure.

What we don't set

No analytics of our own — we do not measure your visits at all. No advertising cookies, no social-media trackers, and no third-party code other than the GetYourGuide tag above. If that changes, this page changes with it.
