Refunds & Your Right to Cancel
Because The Bali Map is a digital product you can access within seconds of paying, EU consumer law treats it differently from a physical order. Here is exactly where you stand.
Your 14-day right to cancel
Buying online as a consumer normally gives you 14 days from your purchase date to cancel and get a full refund, no reason needed — the EU’s standard withdrawal right, under Directive 2011/83/EU.
Why checkout asks you to waive it
The Bali Map is delivered the moment you pay, not shipped, so the 14-day right would let anyone download it and cancel a moment later. EU law lets us end that right early, but only if you clearly agree to immediate access before you pay. That is what the checkbox at checkout captures. It reads, word for word:
I want access straight away, and I understand this ends my 14-day right to cancel.
Ticking that box and completing your purchase means your access starts immediately, and from that moment your 14-day right to cancel this purchase has already ended — because that is exactly what you agreed to.
If you didn't tick it
That checkbox is required to complete a purchase through our checkout. But if you ever believe you were charged without giving that consent, the standard right above still stands, and we will refund you in full within 14 days of your purchase date, no questions asked — just write to us at hello@wewentfirst.com.
Asking for a refund
Within your 14 days — or if the point above applies to you — write to us with your order email or receipt, at hello@wewentfirst.com. We refund through Stripe, usually within 5–10 business days.
